Last March, we volunteered to be apart of DIY SOS The Big Build: Plymouth and were lucky enough to receive the opportunity! We are so happy that Tara, Chris and the kids were the family chosen for this project, as they are extremely deserving. We are over the moon with the outcome, the extremely late nights and busy days were all worth it.

The Kitchen
The carcases and doors were hand-sprayed by Steve in our workshop – in a beautiful, deep, forest green chosen by the DIY SOS team. The worktops were fit directly by Mayflower Stone and the handles are a gorgeous rustic copper.
We installed an island at a reduced height. This was a very important aspect to the kitchen, as it now means that the Morfey’s can all eat breakfast together, even with Ben in his wheelchair!
We included all of the highest specification AEG appliances, kindly gifted to us after visiting the AEG exhibition at KBB Birmingham 2018. Especially highlighting the ‘Comfort Lift Dishwasher’, as Tara told Bethany that their son, Ben can now help unload the dishwasher and help out more in the kitchen. It was very special to hear.
BLUM generously donated top quality Legra Box drawer boxes that hold 40kg in weight and close smoothly with the BLUM Soft Close hinges.
We are so honoured to have been a part of this amazing house transformation, for a very kind and grateful family. Thank you to DIY SOS for giving us this opportunity to help out and thank you to all of our suppliers that donated products and materials for the kitchen. We can only hope to get an opportunity to help out more families in the future!
